The Digital Skybox

The 2025 updates for many of The Digital Skybox draft managers are now available at the Manager’s Dugout page. These include the most popular managers the Buck Miller’s series (all five versions). Along with the Miller updates revisions to a number of other managers have been done. These include: Hooks Foreman , Juice Rogers and Judge Griffith , the Chappy Ross managers (all four) and the Kingfish Boudreau managers (the three versions). These are all free and may be distributed. Note: These will be the last versions of the Miller managers. Both 2023 and 2024 versions are available. In addition to the updated draft managers six season replay managers programmed to manage the 2024 MLB season are available. There’s one manager for each division and are AIM only. These are also available at The Manager’s Dugout page near the bottom right. These are $10 for both but are free to all Skybox members. As mentioned late last year, an all new member’s website was added with the Fall ‘23 edition of The Digital Skybox . The new site is now a single page website - simply scroll up and down to each section (navigation bars are at the top of each page) - and is now much easier to navigate. Search engine applications for each page have also been added to make finding files easier. For more information or to join, go here: Memberships. Meanwhile at the main website the semi-annual revisions of some of the draft league managers were also up. These included the Buck Miller and Mel Herman programs (see above for the latest). Generally, the hook for starting pitchers has been changed with a quicker pull for low inning starters and a slightly slower one for high inning starters, e.g., 180+ innings. You should see a few more complete games for them but lesser outings for the low inning starters, e.g., usually not more than 5 innings. Updated 2023 versions of many of The Digital Skybox draft managers along with new 2022 MLB season replay managers (final versions), both for-purchase and free programs, were made available in the Winter ‘23 version of the website. The updated draft managers include the Buck Miller and Mel Herman programs (all five versons of each) along with revisions of Hooks Foreman , Juice Rogers , Judge Griffith and Kingfish Boudreau I, II and III. The 2022 season replay managers include six for-purchase managers, one for each AL and NL division, and two free league managers. The free league managers are updates of the previously released programs. Although not designed for draft league play, they may work okay for some team (run some test “spring training” games first). Last last year, the Fall/Winter 2022/23 edition of The Digital Skybox released two beta free managers designed to handle the 2022 MLB season. These were test versions that were adjusted further and released once the APBA official disk was available. As noted above, the new/revised programs are free and can be downloaded at the Manager’s Dugout page. Final versions were issued later in the year. Along with the 2022 managers, four replay manager were made available. These are Bobby Kelley I and II designed for each half ot the 1990s decade and Billy Wallace I and II designed for each five year period of the 1970s. The Kelley managers are essentially new (the original Bobby Kelley was “split” into two) while the Wallace programs have been greatly revised. All are also available in the Free Replay Managers folder at the Manager’s Dugout. The summer 2022 edition of The Digital Skybox includes the release of updated draft managers and several modern era replay managers. The draft managers include newer versions of the Juice Rogers and Judge Griffith and Kingfish Boudreau I and II. The new free replay managers include those designed for 1970s, 1980s and 1990s replay. Each decade include a “half decade” manager designed for each five year period. The 1980s and 1990s managers were designed to handled the strike shortened seasons. In addition, the new site will be a slimmed down version with some of the previous pages deleted. The site should load faster and you should see less down times.
